Artist's Comments
This is a watercoloring I started almost a year ago. I would often get frustrated working on it so I would set it aside. Perhaps my frustration with the person I did this for perhaps blocked my artistic drive to complete this piece. I however, wanted to ensure that it is perfect. But nothing in life is perfect. Hence, months passed, and I was unable to duplicate my palate of colors (therefore a distinct difference can be seen from left to right). I started with the eye first. I always start with the eyes - I find eyes captivating. From there on I did individual brush strokes for the feathers.
This piece took me about 10 hrs. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
